New Members Welcome 2025
We offer full adult membership, student membership or non-swimming membership. Our summer swim season runs from May to September during which we organise 10 swims in Tralee Bay including 3 swims with BBQs. We also have a summer BBQ, End of Season Awards Night and a few away trips.
Unfortunately, Tralee Bay Swimming Club is not in a position to accept children under the age of 18 as members due to the statutory obligations placed on clubs such as ours by The Children First Act 2015.

In addition to this, there are several non-statutory obligations such as Children First and National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2017). In the past, the club has looked into the processes needed to be able to accept under 18's as members and remain compliant with regulations. However, it was decided that the club did not have the necessary resources and expertise to fully satisfy the requirements in a sustained and confident manner.
